A Life Established, Not Rushed

Prominence Homestead was not named quickly.

For more than a decade, the name sat quietly. I pondered, tested, and my husband resisted. But I returned again and again in hopes of finding the perfect and appropriate name for our 10 acre homestead.

It did not come from branding exercises or business strategy, although I was tempted. It came from a long season of watching how God establishes a life.

In Scripture, prominence is not self-made. It is recognized.

“David knew that the Lord had established him as king over Israel and had exalted his kingdom for the sake of His people.”
— 2 Samuel 5:12

David’s prominence followed years of obscurity: tending sheep, living faithfully in small assignments, learning restraint, courage, and reverence long before public recognition arrived. His leadership was formed privately before it was ever acknowledged publicly.

This homestead exists from that same understanding. I prayed for a name for years and years, opened the Bible one day, and the story of David entering into the city as a prominent man is exactly what appeared on the pages and how Prominence Homestead got its forever name.

It is a place that honors integrity, stewardship, and the seasons. What you will find here is not hurried luxury, but intentional living with purpose and meaning.

Dean and I created this place for those who sense they are standing at a threshold and need space to listen to God's leading.

This retreat is intentionally designed for adults only.
Not as exclusion, but as protection of the quiet, reflective romance the space was created to hold.

If you are looking for noise, entertainment, or constant activity, this will not be a good fit.

If you are looking for quiet beauty, nourishment, rest, and clarity, you are welcome. You are in the right place.

It is a place for those in a season of listening, rest, and recalibration.

It is the life we strive to live every single day.
